Re: Again some Cassidinae
Thank you very much Lech !
With regard to Cyrtonta tristigma, are you 100% sure, that it must be misidentification (mislabled)? Data comes from a trusted collector. And you wrote on your web, that Chaboo recorded it from South America,...
With regard to Omaspides sp., do you have any advice, how to recognize, if it is definitely a new sp.? I have your key (Borowiec 2003). I have nothing, where I can recognize the subgenus of Omaspides,...

Re: Again some Cassidinae
Cyrtonota tristigma is without doubts Central American species. Chaboo records are partly unbelievable (from various reasons). But occasional introduction of some Central American species to South America is not excluded.
According to this Omaspides species my identification based on experience with this genus and comparative materials in our collection. The problem is that the group of species with mostly yellow body needs revision because some taxa e.g. O. tricolorata, O. trichroa and O. pallidipennis were misinterpreted in various papers. We have in collection also specimens from Peru belonging to this group and representing probably new species. I stopped already my research on Neotropikal Cassidinae so it is an open question for future researchers.

Re: Again some Cassidinae
For information only. Mr. Kondler confirmed data of Cyrtonta tristigma from Peru. It is almost certain, that it was not mislabeled. Data of both pieces: Satipo, Peru, I/1995, Lgt. Kondler.
